Man, it would be so funny to see how a gringo work through that stuff. When I went back to Cuba, it felt so awkward to do the things that I was used to do 17 years earlier. It felt good to be among family and friends but I was so glad when I was back in USA. I haven't been back since, even when I should. Maybe next year.

i visited a girls family with her in the middle of the island, they lived in Cotui on a campo (they work the fields). if i didnt have an SUV we wouldnt have made it in. living room and cooking area was an open air log cabin type area. they cooked with wood, not gas. sleeping area was similar, but with windows and a wood floor. i dont remember if they had electric but i think i remember them playing music.

a chicken walked into the living room while we were eating. i told her i had to pee and she pointed to the bushes (only because i didnt want to be rude if they had a bathroom) the kids rode around on a donkey for a while until it kicked one of them because they wouldnt stop teasing it. i saw her brother kissing his cousin (she said they only kiss... but wtf?) her other cousin stared at me the whole day, and i mean the whole day. when it started to get a bit late she said we have to go before the mosquitos come, thank god for fucking mosquitos.

we slept at her sisters place which was ok but she had to carry up buckets of water to do dishes and for the shower (water bucket in the shower) and the power came and went. was a bit hot so the fan would come and go. her and her family did what they could to make me more comfortable as they knew i was used to better accomodations. in the morning she must have heated up some water before she woke me because it was very comfortable when i washed. she also somehow made me pineapple juice without a juicer and had breakfast and coffee just about ready before i woke up. from my experience girls from campo really take care of their men a bit better on every level.

Thats a big part of the reason why i think a smokin hot 20 year old looks even hotter when a fat 45 year old gets to her house to take her out for dinner. most times the alternative is sitting at home, getting bit by mosquitos in the dark.

I have seen American women who look like they grew up in a cave and I've seen women from the poorest parts of third world islands who looked like they descended from the sky. Reading this thread it's apparent that many of the chicas we are fucking come from horrible conditions, so yes you can expect to find the same level of "hotness" if you're willing to look for it. Personally, I grew up on a poor island and I'm not that adventurous anymore so I'm keeping my ass out the villages. But finding a fresh island chica who isn't hardened yet is priceless.

I was speaking in general about finding a fresh (naive) island girl to make your trip a memorable one. I've done that on other travels when I was younger, I haven't done it in the DR though. From what I've read on the board and heard from other mongers, you either find a driver who comes highly recommended who can show you about, or hook up with other travelers beforehand who have ventured outside the tourist spots and know their way around. And just be aware there's a risk involved; but that's usually the case with anything worth getting.

You could be right. I honestly don't know. I've only been to the DR once. But keep in mind most travelers are content just staying in that one area where we all "hang out". As Apostropheman said it's as simple as moving beyond that area. For whatever reasons though many people don't venture outside the tourist area. The resource may not be completely untapped, none of us are Columbus, but you are more than likely to find a chica who is far less hardened and hip to the game than the average whore in Sosua.

Unfortunately, language barriers and the issue of safety hold some of us back from finding the real gems the island has to offer.

Jonew, you don't seem to understand that they do come to Sosua (most of those you see there, come from other places), but once there, they get hardened and real fast. The one I got burned with, I met in November, the next trip, in April, she was a hardcore puta already. If I had known her in April instead, no fucking way I had done a thing for her.

Why do you want to go to the campo (that's countryside for you gringos) and no to other cities like Santo Domingo and Santiago? There are nice women everywhere if you go to the right spots. Well, in talking to a lot of the locals, I've learned that there is a negative stigma amongst Dominicans as far as coming to the North Coast, especially Sosua, and fucking gringos is concerned. A lot of times, that stigma is overcome in very poor families where the best hope for gaining a better life is the daughter, sister, or niece finding a nice and generous (stupid) gringo.

But the stigma does exist. And there are a ton of chicas who will fuck a gringo for money, but would never come to Sosua to do it. These chicas aren't really pro putas in that they don't seek out and solicit tourist gringos on the same level as a Sosua puta. But they also aren't really adverse to spending a little time with a nice generous gringo. We call these semi-pros, and they are the real diamonds in the rough. Go outside of the tourist areas, and the country is absolutely thick with them.

Then you also have your pro putas who are hot enough to be able to make their money in the major cities like Santiago and Santo Domingo, and don't have to come to Sosua and suffer the aforementioned stigma. It's funny how the backwards dominican mentality towards p4p works. Putas don't really hold a respected place in Dominican society. But they're looked down upon even further if they sleep with gringos. Absurd, but true. That's why the hottest working girls in the country rarely even make it to Sosua. Or they come once they're past their prime (which is pretty early in puta years).

If you ever get a chance to make it out to one of the bigger cities, you'll see what I'm talking about. Back in '07, I met this little spinner in Pasions in Santiago named Rubi. Rubi is from La Vega but had been working in Santiago for a couple of year. Twenty three years old, beautiful face, perfect little body, tight toto, with a great attitude, she became my favorite, and I used to pull her on a pretty regular basis. I lost touch with her, but saw her in Sosua in Feb of this year. I almost didn't recognize her, but she definitely recognized me by the way she was staring. She is still attractive. But you can tell that she'd had a baby because she had the tummy pouch and was a little rounder in the face. She had resorted to the cake make-up, and just wasn't as fine as she used to be. But she was doing brisk business. Hell, I watched her come and go with three or four gringos throughout the evening. And she isn't the only former Santiago/SD I've seen in Sosua in their declining years.

There are prime mongering opportunities all over the island. And It's definitely worth venturing off of the beaten path a bit to find the dimepieces. Tighten up on your spanish and get out there.

If you ever get a chance to make it out to one of the bigger cities, you'll see what I'm talking about. Back in '07, I met this little spinner in Pasions in Santiago named Rubi. Rubi is from La Vega but had been working in Santiago for a couple of year. Twenty three years old, beautiful face, perfect little body, tight toto, with a great attitude, she became my favorite, and I used to pull her on a pretty regular basis. I lost touch with her, but saw her in Sosua in Feb of this year. I almost didn't recognize her, but she definitely recognized me by the way she was staring. She is still attractive. But you can tell that she'd had a baby because she had the tummy pouch and was a little rounder in the face. She had resorted to the cake make-up, and just wasn't as fine as she used to be. But she was doing brisk business. Hell, I watched her come and go with three or four gringos throughout the evening. And she isn't the only former Santiago/SD I've seen in Sosua in their declining years.

There are prime mongering opportunities all over the island. And It's definitely worth venturing off of the beaten path a bit to find the dimepieces. Tighten up on your spanish and get out there.

She is studying English and doing really well, lives with her sister at her aunts in Santiago. Even has relatives HERE in NYC .She is no puta. At 19 she has got her act together & a Career planned in the Hospitality industry, ie Hotel Management. . She just wants a nice Gringo to chat with (practice English) , and maybe get lucky and get married. She has NO kids, and has been more than happy to email me pics of her in her various bikinis to prove it. (they are so shy, LOL)

I guess I go to Santiago, and see where it leads to. They are out there, it may take screening out 200 of them, but the diamonds are out there.

I am all for getting out and about, just be mindful of your surroundings. I prefer to hang out with the locals when I travel overseas. Lord knows I have put myself in some potentially bad situations by being places I probably shouldn't have been. Just make sure if you do get off the beaten path into some of the villages that you employ good personal security measures.

I agree that Sosua is a place to which nice girls don't come (er cum). But isn't that why we go? This is a monger board not a lonely hearts club. I don't want to find a relationship when I go to Sosua. What I want is to find fun. Sex fun. And sex fun, maybe sadly, and a relationship don't mix well. I was sitting @ Merengue's having a beer with a German chic I had just met when guy comes out of nowhere and asks to sit down. I ask him you from Chicago? He says how do you know? Just a gift I guess. He says I came down here to meet a girl I met online for marriage ; your not going to believe what happened to me. I am thinking to myself I think I have heard everything before but got nothing better to do so go ahead. He says flew into POP family meets him at airport he gets stuck with cabfare to and from airport. He takes FAMILY not an escort out to dinner they order everything expensive on menu then order take out each one and there is like a dozen of them. After dinner he takes them to the movies and more of the same. He says they even came to his Hotel at night and first thing in the morning to have him take them for something to eat. This went on for days. I never found out why he ended the relationship with his future bride or if he got laid which I am sure he didn't. He kept going on and on only thing I told him is go to Medellin or Cali I am thinking to myself I hope you have some money left. I still don't think he had a clue where he was.Then I told him if you do meet a girl in Colombia don't expect to sleep with her on first date , he says why not I will come back? I know where you are coming from but be careful. Mention you know a Dominicana that is not a puta and everyone will laugh at you; because they never leave Sosua. Just leaves more for me:wink: I have two potential novias and I am quite happy with both. Invest a little time and it really is like picking low hanging fruit. I am old, ugly and speak terrible Spanish but don't seem to have any problem. And I certainly prefer them to Sosua putas ( not that there's anything wrong with Sosua putas). I posted a photo of my novias before and you can clearly tell the difference between them and the putas.

Yes, Sosua is guilt by association for most of these girls. The more devious ones get around this by simply telling the mama, papa, tia or abuela she's going to visit friends in POP.
