Seven people have been killed in traffic accidents across the country over the past 24 hours. The accident victims were Second Lieutenant Porfirio Santana Hernandez (PN), Melania Amparo Feliz, 47, Aranys Cruz Acevedo, 16, Chichon Pie, 32, Pablo Rosa Garcia, 41, Rafael Alcantara, 62, and Kelvin Manuel de Jesus Cepeda, 19. All were victims of motorcycle accidents. Santana Hernandez, the Police lieutenant, was killed when his motorcycle crashed into another. The other motorcyclist was taken to the Dario Contreras Hospital. The accident occurred on the road between Guanuma and Hacienda Estrella in Santo Domingo North. Amparo Feliz died in a San Francisco de Macoris medical center after being struck by Rafael Antonio Gallardo. Jesus Cepeda was killed when his motorcycle hit an SUV driven by Juan Antonio Paulino Taveras. This accident occurred on the road between Moca and Villa Trina. In Esperanza a Haitian national, Chichon Pie, was killed when he crashed his motorcycle into a truck whose driver is under arrest.
