halloween in sosua

just realized that i'll be in town for halloween.

does anyone do anything for the holiday? ie: costume party?


passions, rocky's etc....

wondering if i should bother putting together costumes before we head down? specially since this is a family trip for me and my daughter...

i know the only part of my costume that matters to the chicas is whether i have pockets for my pesos... but still, would be cool.

i've seen pics of passions halloween last year, as well as ocean world.. but wasnt sure if there was anything else in sosua?

I only know Playaro suppling anything for Halloween, behind the glass counter on the right as you enter. I would bring it down w/ u , especially those glow rings/sticks etc. The chicas go crazy over them at night.

i wouldnt go to a costume party at classico. not gonna take my kid to passions. have no desire to go to ocean world to hang out with what appears to majority of dr1ers.

so really, i guess id only bother if rick were doing something at rockys. otherwise, i'll just dress up as a gringo with pesos. :D

I live in Texas so a drive to NO is regular. It's really not worth it man. I went during Mardi Gras and had a GREAT time but other than that I wasnt to impressed especially during Halloween. Actually I found 6th Street in Austin and the Strip in Vegas more fun.

I was at Passions and saw DaveMaryland ride up on the Moto in that dress :lol:

I met Dave and a few other members there that night and all of the LP girls are of course dressed up as are some customers.

I really didn't stay long since I was with a 19 year old that was pretty fine and on a two day run with her in the jacuzzi back at the apartment before we went to Santiago :D She did get a job offer when Pete saw her but never took him up on it. :wink:

I stayed at Rio AI for a short time a year ago last summer and went there. I also stayed at a friends for the first night on a couple trips last winter and both times we went to Ocean World and ate and partied inside and on a boat in there marina which is very nice.

You will like it, very well done by Sosua standards it is a worlds apart. Check it out they have a website and are really friendly to gringos or should I say Gringos Pesos. :lol:

Saturday night Halloween in Sosua was pathetic.:icontd::icontd::icontd:

Passions had orange and black balloons and girls in black lacy uniforms. Seacrets had balloons. Jolly Rogers had a costume party and looked packed for the 1st time in it's existence. Merengue/Classico's at least made a bit of effort.

The town was busy but probably only about 20/30 people in town in costume/masks.

For the rest it was business as normal.

Props to the guy that won the RD$10K 1st prize at Classico's.

And even bigger props to Yayow who recognised me despite my hideous monster mask. Still can't figure out how you did that Stu!!!

And in comparison Cabarete was off the charts.
