President Leonel Fernandez has sent a loan with the NY branch of Banco BNP Paribas commercial bank to the Senate, for US$54 million for the financing of the Autopista del Coral that links La Romana with Punta Cana. The work was entrusted to the Hormigones Moya group and the Autopista del Coral consortium and is for US$272.2 million.
