Rapist finally caught

Police have arrested 22-year old Jairon Johan Montero and accuse him of being a serial rapist. He is suspected of more than a dozen rapes and robberies in Madre Vieja, San Cristobal. Listin Diario reports that he used to enter houses and surprise housewives when they were alone doing housework. The man was known as the "shadow man" because he committed his crimes at all hours of the day or night yet no one could find him. He was identified by nine of his victims at the prosecutor office in San Cristobal. His last robbery took place at a house on Calle Tercera, where he stole a plasma TV and when returned to take other household goods the housewife, Mrs. Pineda, 56, threw herself on him and called for help from the neighbors when he fled to be captured in an empty lot by neighbors. She sustained an arm injury, but her bravery put an end to the serial rapist and thief. The women who accused him said that aside from the rape, he had stolen clothing, cell phones and appliances.
