Dominican Jose Bautista of the Toronto Blue Jays hit his season 40th home run yesterday in a game his team won 3-2 over the New York Yankees. He now leads the major leagues with 40 home runs this season. His homerun was a tiebreaking solo blast in the eighth inning. He took his time to round the bases and then stopped to enjoy the applause of the crowd in Toronto. He hit home run #39 in the same game.
