The 12-year old girl, Kerileidy Victoria Vargas, who was mortally injured by her father, reportedly under the influence of drugs, died over the weekend at the intense care unit of the Jose Maria Cabral y Baez hospital in Santiago. She had been hospitalized on Tuesday at dawn, after being injured by her father, Edwin Victoria Nunez. Her younger brother and her mother were also injured and are recovering. Her 90-year old grandmother was also shot dead by the maddened father upon returning home around 2am on Tuesday, 24 August. Listin Diario reports that she would have been 13 today (30 August 2010).
