An enraged group of citizens killed one assailant while another managed to escape in an incident in the Villa Faro area of Santo Domingo East, according to the Police. As reported in El Caribe, Carlos Alejandro Rojas German, 28, was killed by gunshots to several parts of his body, fired by unknown persons in the midst of a violent reaction after Rojas and his accomplice were caught red-handed in the act of robbing the Los Primos mini-market. According to a police report, whoever fired the shots fled right after the incident. Technicians from the Scientific Police Unit were scouring the area for clues, while officers continued their investigations. This is the most recent in a series of neighborhood vigilante actions against criminals.
