It's a repeat of an old crime story. Now the Police is holding La Victoria jail inmate Denis Bautista Vasquez responsible for directing a criminal gang. Bautista was arrested for being part of a youth gang in Guachupita accused of several crimes, as reported in the Listin. He is now being blamed for directing the kidnapping of Italian businessman Federico Dalmaso, who was later abandoned by the kidnappers in Guerra. The kidnappers had demanded ransom of RD$1.5 million but released Dalmaso when learning the police was about to catch up with them.
Denis is brother to Joel Bautista (Pilito) who together with Serumberto Mota (Vantroi) was deported from Mexico when he tried to escape that country where he is accused of several crimes.
In the Dalmaso case, the police is searching for Luis Miguel Felix Cuevas (El Gordo) and Miguel Angel Matos (Bitefey) and two others named Deivi and Guiro.
