New cabinet nominations

President Leonel Fernandez has appointed Manuel de Jesus Perez Gomez (Freddy Perez) to head the Aqueducts and Sewage Corporation of Santo Domingo (CAASD). He will have the rank of secretary. Perez replaces Ramon Antonio Rivas Cordero who was appointed to the Dominican Port Authority. He replaces Francisco Pena Guaba. Pena Guaba was appointed secretary and assistant to President Fernandez. Fernandez also appointed politicians from the PRSC party, which is allied to the ruling PLD party. Rafaela Alburquerque and Alexandra Izquierdo will serve as secretaries without portfolio, as reported in Diario Libre.
