Belarminio Tavarez Sanchez (Chon), accused of drug trafficking in Jarabacoa, turned himself into La Vega prosecuting attorney yesterday, the DNCD reported.
Tavarez reportedly arrived in a Mercedes Benz accompanied by his lawyers. Major Pablo Ortega Brito, regional inspector for the National Drug Control Department, is heading the investigations. He is reported to have directed a network that was dismantled after 195 kilos of cocaine were confiscated.
