Marco de la Rosa, president of AES Dominicana, has been voted president of the Association of Foreign Investment Companies in the Dominican Republic (Asiex). He will head the organization until 2012. Asiex companies contributed 35% of taxes paid in the DR from 1996 to 2009. An estimated 165,000 work in Asiex companies with US$18.5 billion registered under the law of foreign investment.
