New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez made some more history Monday when reaching 100 RBIs this season. It's the 13th consecutive year he has reached the 100 mark and his 14th time overall, for a major league record. Rodriguez is now listed above Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Jimmie Foxx, all three Hall of Famers. Rodriguez reached the mark when driving in two runs, in the game the Yankees lost 4-3 to Baltimore.
"It feels good. Obviously you try to come out and be consistent every year, so it's nice," Rodriguez said, as reported in the New York Daily News. "I'm not at all concerned about that. Again, I just want to be productive and help the team win and I feel the more productive I am, it helps us win."
On Monday, another record was set by another Dominican much-followed baseball player. In a game the Colorado Rockies won a crucial 10-5 game against the Cincinnati Reds, ace pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez notched up a record 18th win for his team on Monday.
