A power plant slid dragging rocks and gasoline tanks and crushed two workers at the tunnel under construction at the intersection of the Quinto Centenario and Duarte avenues. Leonel Carrasco, deputy director of the Transport Reorganization Office (OPRET), popularly known as the metro office, said that the workers were Sandino Suero and Pedro Ramon. One is at risk of losing a leg, and the other is under observation. The generator powered the tunneling machine working on the second line of the metro. The injured were members of a 10-man crew working at around 4am. Firefighting units helped rescue the injured workers.
