The recusal of the magistrate of the Second Court of Instruction of the National District, Claribel Nivar Arias by the defense lawyer for defendant Sobeida Felix Morel, caused the stoppage of the hearing of the accusations against Jose David Figueroa Agosto's lover and seven other defendants who are being processed on charges of money laundering. The magistrate of the highly volatile case dismissed the hearing until the Penal Chamber of the Court of Appeals decides on the request to designate another judge in the case, as requested by defense lawyer Felix Portes, as reported in Diario Libre.
