The two Santo Domingo second line metro workers, Sandino Suero and Pedro Ramon who were injured when a container containing a power plant collapsed are recovering. One has been sent home from the hospital. The other has undergone surgery. The Dario Contreras Hospital spokesman denied initial reports that the worker would lose his leg.
The accident occurred when a container with a 500- kilo power plant caught fire and exploded, falling into the tunnel that is under construction near the La Normal stadium yesterday.
