i just got back from a great trip in Cabarete. The highlight of the trip was the bikini fashion show put on for the grand opening of Nikki Beach Club on Friday night and the Raggae festival concert on Saturday night. If you were in Sosua and didn't make it over to Cabarete that weekend you really missed a treat.
The fashion show had some stunners, don't know if they were available but great eye candy. And the raggae festival was off the chain! Hundreds of dominicans and surprisingly lots of english speaking folks there. Met a gorgeous girl from Curaco and a very nice Haitian over there that weekend. Both took care of me very well, but the Haitian wanted to stay all weekend for only 1000 pesos, but i let her go after a couple of hours. Curaco girl was 2000 pesos for ST and worth every penny!
Sunday I spent the latter part of the day talking with Fred and drinking at Cuba Libra and then i drove back to Cabarete. While walking down the street in Cabarete I met this very nice Domnican girl, non puta i think, that needed a ride back to Sosua, so I obliged. She actually lived in Charimicos. She told me to only drive thru there in the day, at night its very dangerous. Once I got to her house I met her mom and sister, I swear if I had 2 other guys with me we could have had an orgy right then and there, they both looked ready and willing. So after she showered and changed clothes we went back to my condo for a little fun and relaxation. Excellent way to end a Sunday in the DR.
Monday morning I drove back to SDQ since I had a flight out of there on Tuesday morning. I've flown into SDQ several times over the years but I've never stayed there but it looks like it has a lot of potential. I stayed at the Marriot Jaragua hotel, which is NOT girl friendly, although I thought I read on here that it was. There were quite a few working girls hanging out in the casino but I couldn't take them back to my room. I will definitely be making a Santo Domingo only trip soon when I can stay for a few days.
I will post a short video clip of the Saturday night concert as soon as I figure out how to upload a video. Same with photos of the fashion show.
How was Nikki Beach Club? Thanks for the report. Cabarete is nice and only a short drive away.
Was this your first time driving from the North to the South?

Yeah I'm pretty much gonna split my time there in December between Sosua/Cabarete. I'm hoping Cabarete has some nice events taking place New Year's Eve.

I don't if this helps but the last week of November there's a nice Jazz concert on the beach in Cabarete. I went last year and had a blast.

I have always stayed in Sousa. Are there any NICE places to stay in Carbarete that are chica friendly?

I was there 2 years ago for the jazz festival and it was a good mix of what seemed to be semi-pros and non-pros. The festival goes on for 3 days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights so there are lots of people there with the working girls mixed in. This year it will be over our(US) Thanksgiving break which will make it easier to get down there.

If anyone is interested, check the site below for this great deal for the festival.

I agree with Afroski, a good mix of semi-pros and non-pros. There is a bar that has some pros working. I will find the name of it from my friend who went there on his last trip.

Bambu is the only bar on the beach that has no restrictions on chicas.

I have heard elsewhere that the Bambu is the one that welcomes the Chicas. Last time I was there (a month ago), there were some Chicas hanging out along the main road. I was walking with my wife and two good looking Chica's were walking toward us and briefly flirted with me and ignored my wife, until I felt my wife tugging my arm and the dirty look.. LOL I'm going back soon and will be staying long-term. Looking forward to the festival at the end of November.

Whenever I hit the north coast i always try and go by all of the spots to see whats up. I did Classicos a couple of nights but i also got over to Puerto Plata and hit the night clubs on Playa Dorado also. But Cabarete by far had the most energy that weekend. I always say, theres more things to do than just Sosua.
