Supreme Court of Justice President Jorge Subero Isa complained that the High Court is being overwhelmed with thousands of abrogation recourses, many which he termed "unnecessary", a situation that is abusive of the judges' capacity to handle. "Everybody here takes their cases to the last consequences" said the chief justice when stating that throughout the past nine years, the court has ruled on 11,890 cases. Diario Libre reports he is in favor of legally limiting cases that can reach the High Court - such would be the cases where jurisprudential reiteration would result of the court's ruling.
