Brunilda Peralta, whose sons are executives for the Aguilas Cibaenas baseball team, was robbed prior to entering her apartment in the Los Jardines Metropolitanos neighborhood at 10am yesterday. The incident occurred less than 150 meters from the home of former senator Eduardo Estrella, who was robbed by two men on a motorcycle on Monday. Peralta said that the thieves held her at gunpoint, and then took her to her second floor apartment, gagged her and stole cash, jewelry and other items. The Police are investigating the case, as reported in Diario Libre. They described the theft as "well planned" and suspect it may have been an inside job.
