Five Dominican weightlifters are competing in the World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya, Turkey. 561 athletes from 81 countries are in the competition. Representing the DR are Carolanni Reyes (48kg), Yuderqui Contreras (53Kg), Wildry de los Santos de la Cruz (58kg), Maria Lustiliana Carvajal de la Rosa (+75kg) and in the men's division, Jose Familia (105kg).
