The Fourth Katarey International Percussion event is booked for the Pedro Mir Library auditorium at the UASD state university in Santo Domingo. On 2 Saturday, Edis Sanchez and Bolivar Gomez will take the stage, representing Dominican percussionists.
Nomar Negroni and Sonny Emory (formerly of pop group Earth, Wind and Fire) and Jennifer Lopez are also booked. On Sunday, 3 October, the DR's Otoniel Nicolas and Eric Ramos will be performing, as well as Cliff Almond for the US and Virgil Donato for Australia. Cliff has played with Patti Labelle and Michel Camilo. Virgil played on Jesus Christ Superstar: The Album and has played with Planet X.
Tickets for the performances are RD$1,000 for one day and RD$1,500 for two days.
