The Dominican Republic's only Olympic gold medalist, Felix Sanchez had a good day in Japan, where he won silver at the 2010 Super Meet in Kawasaki. Many international stars attended the event, including high jumper Blanka Vlasic (Croatia) and sprinter Christophe Lemaitre (France). Sanchez placed second in his event, the men's 400meter hurdles. He clocked in at 50.53 behind Bershawn Jackson (USA) whose time was 49.87. Takayuki Kishimoto (Japan) was third with 50.59. Felix Sanchez, who is ranked 7th in the world in the 400mH, said he felt inspired at having achieved second place in the event.
