The Metropolitan Bus Services Office (OMSA) director Ignacio Ditren has sent a copy of a letter previously sent to the administrators of the Las Americas Free Zone (San Isidro) to Diario Libre. In the letter, he suggests that the companies take on the ten peso fare increase for each passenger, now pegged at RD$25. In the letter sent to the Free Zone management on 14 September, the OMSA director said that "as of 20 September the specific service to the Las Americas Free Zone will be increased to RD$25 pesos per person", and it requested the companies to inform their employees. In the same letter, Ditren suggested that RD$15 of the fare should be paid by the passenger and RD$10 should be covered by the free zone companies. In other areas of the city, as of Monday, OMSA fares were increased RD$5. The San Isidro route is the longest.
