The PRD and the PRSC both decided to take part in today's meeting with President Fernandez at the National Palace. The President decided to take constitutional discussions to the political party representatives and appointed constitutional experts, instead of using the model known as Constituyente, which others allege would be a broader consultation. Together with the party currently in power, the PLD, the President will meet with six other parties in what is billed as the first meeting aimed at working out proposals for the Constitutional reform that President Fernandez has declared to be a priority for this term. The meeting will be coordinated by the commission headed by Monsignor Agripino Nunez Collado, Carlos Dore Cabral and Marcos Villaman. All the parties will be represented by their leading figures; Federico Antun Batlle and Victor Gomez Casanova for the PRSC, Orlando Jorge Mera for the PRD and Henry Mejia for the PRSD.
