A pilot failed to land at Las Americas International Airport on Wednesday, and his N100PV plane landed two miles to the east of runway 35. The private plane crashed at 12:45pm and its four occupants were rescued with only minor injuries. Yolanda Manan, communications manager for Las Americas International Airport said the airplane had arrived from Isla Grande International Airport in Puerto Rico. The pilot, co-pilot and two passengers stepped out of the plane by themselves before being taken to the Ramon de Lara Military Hospital in nearby San Isidro.
