Mabel Feliz, president of the National Council of Drugs says that anti-drug organizations have not been able to reduce a single one of the 19,000 drug sales points in the country. Claudio Acosta of Que Se Dice in Hoy says that drug traffickers are the most dangerous enemy that Dominican society faces. He quotes Feliz as saying, "we dismantle them in a barrio and they move to another barrio. When we are going to shut one operator down, they have often already moved".
