Party leaders happy with meeting

Party leaders are expressing their satisfaction with the meeting they held with President Leonel Fernandez at the Presidential Palace yesterday, where they discussed the forthcoming constitutional reform. Diario Libre reports that there was consensus on the need for the reform to put the Dominican state in tune with current times. PRSC president Federico Antun was optimistic after the meeting and the PRD Secretary General stated that the meeting had been open and frank. PRSD Henry Mejia agreed with the meeting and said that he was in favor with the proposed public consultation for the application of the reform. All party leaders who took part plan to present reports of the meeting to their respective organizations.
