Six days ago, Angel Patricio Sosa Gonzalez began a pilgrimage from Dajabon to Santo Domingo carrying a cross, in demand for the construction of several projects in his province. Yesterday, after walking 150 km, he arrived in Santiago and stated that he no longer felt any pain in his legs as he had when he first set off on his journey. "I am satisfied to know that many people sympathize with this peaceful protest I am making amid all the violence we are living through today", said Sosa. He added that his will and determination are strengthened as he advances towards his goal and is grateful to the people who greet him along the way. He is expected to arrive in Santo Domingo next Wednesday.
