The National Drug Control Department has announced the deportation of 35-year old Michael Alexander Miller Stapleton, requested by authorities in the Bahamas for bank fraud using forged documents. Miller left the DR on flight N65RS from Santo Domingo's La Isabela Airport. Two arrest orders had been issued against him in the Bahamas. The Dominican Navy arrested him on board a yacht at Puerto Blanco, in Luperon on 24 September.
