PRD to decide in March

The rival PRD factions finally met over the weekend and decided that the nominating convention to select the party's candidate in the 2012 presidential elections would be held next March. The decision was reached during the celebration of the Jose Francisco Pena Gomez Congress at the Hotel Dominican Fiesta. Either Milagros Ortiz Bosch or Emmanuel Esquea Guerrero will chair the nominating convention, since the final selection of the chairperson was left to a later session. The main opposition party, often fraught with internal issues, also agreed that all the candidates would get together and work out a Project for the Nation that will be the basis of the PRD platform for the presidential elections. All the factions were present at the congress.
