Rains forecast for Santo Domingo and Cibao

A new tropical wave will bring rain showers with thunder and lightning in the southeast, northeast, southwest, central mountains and along the border with Haiti. According to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecast issued yesterday at 6pm, Santo Domingo and environs should see scattered showers throughout the day. In the Cibao, more rains are expected because in addition to the tropical wave, the area is still under the effects of a low-pressure trough that affected a large part of the national territory over the weekend.
