The Superintendence of Power reports that blackouts are less frequent now with the entry of the AES Andres unit with 275 megawatts/hour. This plant operates on natural gas. The Superintendence says that peak demand was at 1,948 megawatts and maximum supply was 1,594, for an average deficit of 21%.
