Anti-drugs officers at the Punta Cana International Airport are under investigation after a shipment of 91.8 kilos of cocaine was detected at the Brussels International Airport, in Belgium. The investigations are under the Center of Information and Joint Coordination (CICC) of the National Drug Control Department, the division in charge of airports. Six people were arrested in Brussels for the shipment, including three Spaniards. News services did not report the date or the airline concerned.
El Dia reports that only three weeks ago several DNCD agents at the Santiago International Airport were arrested for permitting the shipment of 108 kilos of cocaine to Florida. The drug was confiscated after arriving to Fort Lauderdale on board a Spirit flight.
