On Saturday the National Drug Control Department (DNCD) reported that they had dismantled in Villa Mella a drug laboratory that is said to have prepared drugs for transport to overseas destinations using 'mules'. El Caribe quotes DNCD spokesman Ramon Alcides Rodriguez as saying that two people who were arrested during the search are now being questioned. Metal molds and tubes used to prepare the drugs for shipment were seized, along with a large quantity of rubber gloves, boric acid and other packaging equipment.
