The president of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, Miguel Roig says that the government has not shown any signs of implementing austerity measures as has been urged by civil society institutions and business organizations. Instead, he sees a trend for the government to increase its currency spending.
He said that the government continues to grow in an unbridled manner, becoming the country's leading employer. He called for more efficiency in the operations of government institutions.
"Government is supposed to be the regulator of the economy and the private sector the engine. But now we see a reverse trend, where the private sector plays a secondary role". He says that government needs strong institutions so it can be administered with efficiency and transparency.
He urged Congress to pass the bill of Political Parties in Congress.
