The PRD opposition party has selected Enmanuel Esquea Guerrero as president of the commission in charge of organizing the primary to choose the presidential candidate for the 2012 presidential elections. Former Vice President Milagros Ortiz Bosch was chosen first vice president and Hugo Tolentino Dipp, second vice president of the organizing commission. The two leading contenders for the nomination are former presidential candidate Miguel Vargas and former President Hipolito Mejia.
