Club X is shut down, plus it sucked anyway. Winners Circle can be good at times across the streeet from Classicos. There are lots of hot chicas sitting in front of Rhumba bar from Thurs to Sat nights as well. Nothing wrong with being up in classicos, and then taking a walk from time to time downstairs and other places, then back up to Classicos. Just make sure not to cash your drink tic in yet, as u will need it to get back in, or els pay another cover. Sometimes i have to get out of Classicos for a breather!!

Used to be a big disco all the way at the end of Pedro Clisante, past Passions, and past the International Gym, right on the bend going to Playa Chiquita Casino...I can't remember the name of the place...looks like it's been shut-down a few years....

was a lot bigger and less crowded than Classicos. Had a bigger dance floor and a lot more room (maybe just a lot less people). there was an outside open air part in ther back. It kind of reminded me of Speaks in Island Park a little bit ( Long Island club from the mid 80's for anyone that remembers).

The name was actually High Caribbean. It could get really packed at times too, just like Classicos.
It also had a pool inside, great for keeping the humidity high.

If you don't mind travelling a bit there are 2 night clubs over on Playa Dorado in Puerto Plata that were hopping on Fri and Sat nights when I was there back in June and Sept.
One is connected to the casino that faces the street just past the main entrance to Playa Dorado, coming from Sosua. And the other is inside of Playa Dorado in their shopping complex. Both probably don't get started going until around 11 pm or so.
Both of them get a pretty good mix of locals and tourists with some pros thrown in there too, at least thats what i saw when i was there in June and Sept.
Here is a photo of the one that faces the main street at Playa Dorado:

The steps just to the right of the entrance to the casino is where the disco is.

I have an ex-favorita that loved going to Mangus in Playa Dorado. This goes back about 3 or 4 years. I never did like the place, too many gringas. I only saw about 2 or 3 chicas wandering around, and you could tell they were after big pesos. Just the way they dressed & strutted. Unless things have changed, not a place to hook up with chicas.
Another option is a Dominican bachata club called Home Run in Monte Llano. It's right on the main drag with the big neon palm trees out front.
This is NOT a puta hang out, it's a Dominican club. It will be 95% Dominicans - all ages. But that doesn't mean you can't dance with a chica and get to know her, buy her dinner and invite her back for a dip in the pool. A fun alternative to the crotch-grabbing discos. A nice place to dance, drink and meet some girls.
(if they're still open, they are closed/open in spurts)

No, this is on the main road as soon as you enter POP. Playa Dorado is a large resort complex and these are some of the nightclubs on that resort.
There are definitely pros working the crowd there, my wingman back in June snatched a couple of very nice local girls out of there that didn't ask for any money at all.
If you get tired of Sosua then these are just a couple of alternatives.

AfterOne was pretty dead when we went. But it is open really late, so maybe they filter in after Classico closes?
They do have a stripper pole, but it seemed no one was taking advantage of it.
XFlow is open really late. But only sea buscuits at that time of night or morning. Mostly DR Chulos spending our money on drinks!!!
Note to self:if you do not pick up earlier, do not bother at those after hours.

After One doesn't start getting busy until after 4:00 a.m., when Classicos and the other downtown bars close. I picked up a couple of chicas from there before.

That was a great place in it's day. Also had a casino. We used to go there when we stayed at Casa Lindas. It was a little too far from the main strip. It would be great place with a better location.
