Even President Leonel Fernandez seems to think that people are sabotaging the school breakfast program because of what he called "interests". The President, as reported in Hoy, announced the formation of a high-level commission to get to the bottom of the series of incidents in which students have fallen ill after eating and drinking the school breakfast. Last week, well over 120 children in Azua were taken ill after breakfast. Two or three children are still being treated in the hospital. In all, more than 200 children in different parts of the country have become ill after drinking the milk supplied by the program.
