The reason why I post this before my trip is that I would like to meet some veterans and fellow mongers with similar interests during my trip. I'm planning to stay at Terra Linda at least the first part of my trip.
Background and pre-trip observations:
This is my first trip to DR. I'm from Finland and I'm in my early 40'ies. What I say here might help you to understand how I look at the opportunities available and what my preferences are. If you are not interested, please skip to the trip report which will come here a couple of days after Nov 6th in this thread:biggrin: Regarding mongering, my past experiences are primarily in Asia and Europe. I did a lot of research here, ISG, and other sites before choosing Sosua as the destination. A few years ago I had a good mongering trip in Jamaica. The reason for choosing the location in western hemisphere was that my wife becomes suspicious when I travel to east. I was once married with a Thai for 7 years, and now happily married with a Filipino and we have 3 kids together:)
I prefer GFE, though PSE occasionally is good. I'm not a titman nor an assman. I have learned over the years that I always want what I don't have. E.g. if my wife/GF/etc had slim body, small ass, etc, I became horny when I saw big tits, big round ass, etc. And vice versa. It is a forever continuing search for pleasure. Face of course is always important, that's the one you have to talk to most of the time:)
I have read most of the trip reports etc during 2010 in this forum, and the information likely will be very valuable. Based on what I have read, I have concluded (including my personal preferences):
- Choose Haitians over Dominicanas: Typical Haitians GFE character seems to fit my taste better.
- Stay away from hard cores
- Keep your valuables in in-room safe
- Chica pricing: 1000-1500ST, 1500-2500TLN, some exceptions may apply
- Negotiation approach: Do not negotiate or ask how much, say what you are willing to pay. Of course, again exceptions may apply, likely depends on the size of the tits on this trip, as I have been dealing with small ones lately:rofl:
- Hotel: Terra Linda. I prefer a more discreet place as I have to do some business online meetings and calls with my wife from there.
- Don't play at casinos: I'm a gambler, especially I like Texas Hold'em and BJ. I would say I'm pretty good in both of them. Either they will cheat you or if you get out of the casino with some good wins, there are some who want to grab their share of that before you get to the hotel
- La Passion: Likely I will make several visits there, I like high quality and low risk for bad surprises. Though, I like very much also hunting in the dark, but it needs to be in balance with the positive experiences.
- Get a local mobile phone and collect phone numbers for adhoc day time action
- 27 waterfalls: I like these kind of activities. If someone has any info about other similar activities I would be interested in to know about it. I have read that deep sea fishing is not good in Sosua. Also the snorkling and island hopping stories (Mel tours etc) I have read so far have not got me excited.
