IMF and IDB praise DR economy

The president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Luis Alberto Moreno joined President Leonel Fernandez and other top officials in a seminar that examined the state of the Dominican economy. At the end of the session, Presidential Minister for Technical Affairs Temistocles Montas said that the IDB had praised the economic growth shown by the economy, and this coincided with the words of praise from the IMF representatives who had met at the National Palace to go over the latest "Stand-by" agreement. The latest numbers released by the Central Bank seemed to indicate that the Dominican economy grew by 11.7% for the first semester of 2006.
