As part of the Ministry of the Environment's quest to explore new ways of developing the tourist attraction called "El Limon Falls", on the Samana Peninsula, the ministry has signed an agreement to co-manage the area of the falls with the local Community Ecotourism Association (ACESAL). A management council will handle the overall administration of the area and the day-to-day operations will be handled by the association.
