The beginnings of negotiations for the structuring of the Dominican Municipal League's executive committee, the central government's instrument for channeling funds to the local city governments, could start today. The keynote will be the signing of a non-aggression pact between the main political parties at the PUCMM campus in Santo Domingo this morning. The meeting will be chaired by mediator Monsignor Agripino Nunez Collado. In spite of the fact that PRD secretary general Orlando Jorge Mera would not expand on his comments, he did allow reporters to see that the control of the LMD was on the agenda for discussion.
