The Tigres del Licey defeated the Aguilas Cibaenas in a game at the Quisqueya Ball Park yesterday. Fans watched as Licey batted 16 hits to produce 7 runs against the Aguilas' 4 runs. The winner of the game was Michael O'Connor (1-0), Julian Tavarez lost for the Aguilas.
In San Pedro de Macoris, the Estrellas had a great day against the 2009-2010 champion team, Leones del Escogido. Home club the Estrellas delighted their fans by defeating the champs 8-0.
But the Toros of La Romana had the most fun yesterday, keeping their undefeated start of season start with a 11-4 defeat over the Gigantes from San Francisco de Macoris, at the latter's home stadium.
