The Funglode Film Festival is bringing Oscar-winning sound director Paul Ottosson (The Hurt Locker), Spanish actress Victoria Abril and Italian actress Claudia Cardinale to film festival cinemas nationwide. November's event will be held at several venues across the country, including Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata, Cap Cana, Higuey and Nagua.
Even former Major League star Barry Bonds will be giving a speech together with Hall of Famer Juan Marichal at the Mauricio Baez Club in Santo Domingo on 19 November.
The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development will be using the El Embajador Hotel as the host venue for this fourth film festival.
