The Ministry of Education has announced that they will be extending the English program in public schools. Over 5,000 students in 34 educational centers will benefit as from this coming school year. The ministry is reported to be investing RD$20.6 million in the program. Minister Alejandrina German announced that "after the success of the first stage, the Ministry of Education expects to double the number of centers where it will be implemented during the school year that begins on 21 August", as reported by Diario Libre.
