New ambassadors

President Leonel Fernandez received credentials from the ambassadors of Honduras, India, Italy, Japan and Venezuela at the Presidential Palace yesterday. The new ambassadors are surgeon Maria Eugenia Barrios Aleman de Pena for Honduras, Deepak Kishinchand Bhojwani of India, trade and international law specialist and former ambassador in Colombia is the new ambassador to the Dominican Republic (based in Cuba), lawyer Arturo Olivieri of Italy, Soichi Sato of Japan, for whom this is a first ambassadorial appointment and sociologist Eduardo Alfredo Murga Rivas from Venezuela. President Fernandez was accompanied by Vice President Rafael Alburquerque and Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso.
