Another budget place to stay close to The Monument and right around the corner from the Aloha Sol is an apart hotel called Alberto's Suites . www.albertoapartahotel.com (http://www.albertoapartahotel.com/) 809-9716005 and 809-971-6515. Basic rooms, actually an apartment housing a kitchen with a full sized refrigerator,stove,storage cabinets counter top, an integrated living or sitting space and windows looking out over zink/tin roofs and wooden residential proprties. AC, Security, a short walk to the Monument and a 5 minute walk to Parque Duerte in the old downtown. A good value for under $40!!!!!!!!! It is on Calle Santome' one block off of Calle De Sol.
