Despite rain threats yesterday, it was play ball yesterday at Dominican ball parks. The Gigantes del Cibao defeated the Licey Tigers at the Julian Javier Ball Park in San Francisco de Macoris with a 12-3 score to the delight of the local fans. The Aguilas edged a tight win 2-1 over the Estrellas Orientales in their home base in San Pedro de Macoris. The Toros vs. Leones game in Santo Domingo's Quisqueya Ball Park was rained out.
If the rain allows, games to be played Friday evening are Estrellas vs. Escogido at 7:35pm at the Quisqueya Ball Park; Licey vs. Aguilas at 7:35pm at the Cibao Ball Park, and Gigantes vs. Toros at the Francisco Micheli Ball Park in La Romana.
