You are not alllowed to travel with lighters anymore but you can bring 4 books of matches...WTF.

I was coming home from STI a couple of weeks back and they took ALL my lighters ! !

The worst part was that smoking was allowed at the bar while we waited for the plane but nobody had a light ! !


WTF ? ?

that's stupid. You can't bring a butane lighter, but matches is cool??? What kinda bullshit is that? You can do the same damage with either.

well i had a book of matches with me a couple of trips ago and the people in POP took them from me when i emptied my pockets... guess they didnt want the matches either... Or maybe they needed some for their smokes and wanted to steal mine...

maybe i'm a little slow, but don't they sell lighters in the airport? So couldn't you buy one while waiting for your flight?

haha... yes your a little slow... just kiddin... They may sell them... and you will probably be OK if you leave it in your carry on... But once they see them they take em!

My lighter was stolen right out of my luggage that was checked in many trips ago. It was one of those flashy ones that work every time. I guess it was too flashy and the guy at the airport had to have it. Keep all your valuables, small or large, in your carry on and leave your lighters at home.
