A Thomson Airways jet with tourists headed for Punta Cana resorts had to detour to land in Bermuda after a drunken passenger became aggressive, according to British press reports.
Crew on the flight from Manchester had to put restraints on the woman to keep her to her seat. 260 passengers were on board the flight.
The plane landed in Bermuda where police were waiting and the middle-aged woman was disembarked.
According to The Sun, the woman was thought to have been drinking from a secret alcohol stash.
Thomson Airways said the incident took place last Friday. The carrier added that it operated "a zero tolerance policy with regards to any disruptive behavior on board our flights".
The flight had already been delayed for 24 hours and passengers finally arrived at Punta Cana 27 hours and 44 minutes late.
